After watching the video for 'Miley Cyrus-When I Look At You' I gained a lot of inspiration. This particular video has used many different locations and varies between these throughout the full duration of the video, meaning that it is interesting to watch and not boring. The use of many different types shots are an interesting aspect of the music video too, several establishing shots are used which makes the video seem more imaginative, than just using close-ups and mid shots. I also found the editing of the video very interesting and inspirational too, which was the use of some of the shots being unfocused, focused then focused once again.
Taylor Swift- Back To December
After viewing this video for 'Taylor Swift-Back To December' I once again, gained a lot of inspiration. I admire the colour coordination of the video and how simple yet effective everything is. Like 'When I Look At You' the video has several different locations varying through each of them. There aren’t as many in this one, which gives it a more simple narrative. My main inspiration from this video is the use of close-up body shots of Taylor Swift, during one of the verses there are several shots of different parts of her body, such as her shoulder and her lips, this makes the video more personal especially whilst she is singing, and is very different from the rest of the video, consequently, using shots like this helps break down the video and all the similar yet different shots which would of been put together.
