Analysis of Digipack: Chase And Status- No More Idols

L-  The front cover of the album features an image of a dog dominated the whole cover. With 'Chase And Status' in bold yellow writing placed on top of the photo. 'No More Idols' is in bold yellow writing too, in a smaller font size underneath the artist name. The contrast of the Yellow font and the photo fit well together as the image has been edited to be in black and white. The image has still been made to be in focus for the background, despite this the text on the cover still manages to stand out the most because of the bold yellow. This is the intention, and fits well with the conventions of the album cover as the artist/artists name is extremely visible.

I-The album was realised in January 2011, by Vertigo and Mercury, two of the labels Chase And Status are signed/involved with.

I- I personally think because of the image of the aggressive dog the moral of the cover is  to sort of convey the meaning 'don’t mess with us'. This album is the artists second album to date, and artists are generally more serious when it comes to their second album, especially if their first album was a success, they want to match this success or be even better.

A- The audience of this album would obviously be for Chase And Status but also for the other artists featured on the album as Chase And Status are just the production duo. It would be aimed at both genders as it genre of the music is generally dance.

R-Because of the photo of the dog the representation of the cover of the album comes across as quite aggressive, this is partially true as the genre of the songs is generally dance/dubstep however which is quite heavy music. I would say this type of image for this genre of music is quite stereotypical, this type of music is something stereotyped as 'chavvy' music, and this type of dog which looks quite aggressive is also sometimes stereotyped as the type of dog a 'chav' would have.
